Sink or Swim

Everything worth knowing leaves bruises... and I want to hit you.
Hard. Like the setting sun hits the water.
I want to sink deeply into the tides that would turn marvelously in a life we could share.
I want to undulate beneath your skin, so that you may feel me, always.
Swim with me.

For now, I'll accept my place as the skipped stone that so precisely skims over your surface.
For even so, you reveal more to me than to any other that comes in contact with you-
or at least, who they think you are.
But in my slight touches; in between the ripples I create in your pool of thought,
I've seen your depths.

Indigoblursintoblack. Like one color. The mass of your soul has the power to devour with its density.
Welcome me. Swallow me. I want the chance to discover-
will I float in your ocean, or drop to the bottom?

Either way, I want the chance.
Before you swim, you've got to be okay to sink.

  1. I want to find my point of flotation or my depth of surrender. Let me sink to the place where I am carried along yet enveloped by all of your depth and density.
